Discover with us the southern side of the highest active volcano in Europe and experience a unique cable car ride starting at 2.000 metres above sea level.

The southern flank is certainly the most famous side of our volcano, because there you can observe the steaming main craters from a safe distance.

On this tour, we start from the meeting point in Giarre and
drive through some Etna villages, passing several lava flows from
the past, until we reach the destination of Rifugio-Sapienza, where the roads end at 2.000 m above sea level.

Here we will take the cable car and the Unimog four-wheeled vehicle up from 2.000 to about 3.000 metres in altitude. Up here you will enjoy an unforgettable panorama of the province of Catania and, of course, the active craters of Mount Etna.

After our ascent, we will go down to the Rifugio Sapienza, where you will enjoy a typical Sicilian lunch. Afterwards, we explore a lava cave, equipped with helmet and torch.
